By Frida Salazar onThe Oscar nominee will play a secret major role

The upcoming sequel Joker: Folie à Deux from Warner Bros. and DC Films keeps adding big stars to its cast as recently Deadline informed that Oscar nominee Catherine Keener well know for her work in Being John Malkovich, Capote and Get Out will join.
According to the news portal, Keener most recent works were in Shawn Levy’s The Adam Project opposite Ryan Reynolds and Mark Ruffalo, and her appearance in a one-season arc in Netflix series Brand New Cherry Flavor. Keener is particularly versatile, which raises our expectations for her next role, which it is important to mention has been handled as a secret one. To be honest we can’t wait to see how she and Joaquin Phoenix may interact in this film.
A long-awaited sequel
Keener isn't the only recently cast actor, as Brendan Gleeson was announced a couple of day ago to be joining the ensemble as well and let’s not forget the return of Zazie Beetz to reprise her role as Sophie Dumond the struggling neighbor of Arthur Fleck.
If you haven't been keeping an eye on the details of the movie, don't worry. The sequel is set to start shooting in December and Todd Phillips is returning to direct and co-wrote the script with Scott Silver. So far its release date has been confirmed as October 4, 2024, however we know that this could change at any moment.
What role do you think Keener will play in the film? Leave your guesses at the comments below.
