While everyone's attention is on the Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 Beta, which has officially begun thanks to the start of the second weekend, which also includes PC and Xbox, there's been some talk about the Activision shooter's single-player campaign.

The now-famous Tom Henderson, who has recently been devoting himself to rumors about more than just Call of Duty and Battlefield, has returned to spreading excitement about the FPS and, more specifically, the story mode.

According to the insider, Modern Warfare 2's campaign will include sixteen missions, the titles of which are also unknown.

To avoid spoiling the surprise, we will not reveal the names of the game's story missions, but it appears that there are numerous references to major events from the original chapter of the story, and it is not ruled out that the developers have some surprises in store for longtime fans of the brand.

Activision has confirmed that the Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 release date will be October 28 2022 and will be available on PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series S-X, PlayStation 4, and PC.

The first gameplay trailer was released on June 8th, 2022, an almost eight-minute video showing off footage of a level called Dark Water.
