Publisher and developer CD Projekt RED has recently announced a brand-new Cyberpunk 2077 expansion called Phantom Liberty. This new material is set to launch in 2023 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, PC, and Stadia.
According to Gematsu, Phantom Liberty will introduce a new cast of characters, which protagonist V will come into contact with inside a new location within Night City. The excellent news is Keanu Reeves will also reprise his role as rebel rocker Johnny Silverhand!
“Johnny Silverhand is coming back, and so am I,” Reeves said in a video message. “Get ready for ‘Phantom Liberty,’ the upcoming expansion for Cyberpunk 2077. It’s awesome to be back playing the role of Johnny, and I hope you’re excited to see him rock it out once more in the dark future. Keep an eye out for more info, and I’ll see you again in Night City.”
CD Projekt RED also shared more information about Cyberpunk 2077‘s Edgerunners update, or Patch 1.6, which introduces equipable items from the Cyberpunk: Edgerunners anime to the game, including the jacket worn by anime protagonist David Martinez and the shotgun used by another character from the show.
The update also adds various new features to the game, including a clothing transmog system, cross-platform progression, playable Roach Race minigame arcade cabinets, and more. Unfortunately, it will also be the last update supported by PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
Cyberpunk 2077 is available for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC via Steam, Epic Games, GOG, and Stadia.
