By Mary Roots onThe Pokémon Company announced the new installment in 2019

Detective Pikachu was well received when it arrived on Nintendo 3DS, and the saga's popularity skyrocketed with its movie's release. The Pokémon Company confirmed a sequel to the game for Nintendo Switch in 2019 but hasn't revealed any further details about it.
There is good news for players waiting for the new installment, as everything indicates that it is still standing and could arrive soon. We tell you thanks to the LinkedIn profile of a developer working on the project.
Some fans of the franchise are concerned about the sequel to Detective Pikachu, as there has been no talk about it for years. However, the title seems to be developing, and its launch would be closer than expected.

At least that's what Jonathan Murphy, a developer at Creatures Inc., hinted at. The programmer mentions Detective Pikachu 2 on his LinkedIn profile (via IGN) and states that "it's coming soon." While he doesn't say any release window, this would at least confirm that the project is still on track.
To be more exact, the developer commented that he "worked on an unannounced and soon to be released project, Detective Pikachu 2". The Pokémon Company only confirmed the sequel in 2019 and suggested that it would continue the events of the original installment for 3DS.
The title of the Nintendo Switch remains a mystery, as the company did not show a logo or a teaser. Fans must be patient and keep waiting for new information about it.
