Rubén Doblas Gundersen, better known as ''El Rubius,'' is a Spanish-Norwegian YouTuber, streamer, and internet celebrity recognized for his entertainment videos based on gameplays, sketches, parodies, montages, and blogs. The streamer was involved in a controversy today after he streamed the new Sonic title, resulting in the banning of his Twitch account.
What does this mean for the streamer?
''Sega sent me a code for Sonic Frontiers today. In the email, they tell me that there is no embargo and that I can stream it now. Sega proceeds to ban me from Twitch. WTF????'' The streamer said.
At the time of writing, the Norwegian's Twitch channel is no longer accessible, and he has been removed from the partners program. That means he can't monetize any of his work for the time being, which is a hefty punishment for someone who makes practically all of his money on this platform.

Although this could be a simple misunderstanding, it is still surprising that one of the biggest streamers in the Spanish-speaking community is in such a career-threatening situation.
