Death Stranding always causes a commotion, either after announcing Death Stranding 2 or if it suddenly goes free for Christmas. This time the latter has caused one of the most prominent gaming launchers and stores, Epic Games store to crash.
In case you forgot: Death Stranding amassed 10M players in three years
The game was available for free on Christmas only for 24 hours, however, the platform could not cope with the traffic of users insistently seeking to get Death Stranding for free.
Eventually, everything was fixed however it was a little bit late for some how never got to put their hands in their free copy.
But wait, there is more
Ok, this affected some but may have helped others, apparently some players got to download the Director cut version for free, however, this was fixed quicker because when other users tried to do the same they got the base version instead.
Did you know?: A Death Stranding movie is revealed to be in development
Where you part of the lucky ones who got to download it for free? Or you failed like some of us… Remember to follow us on Facebook / Twitter / Instagram for more news!
