Fans are disappointed by the lack of Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 4 news
By Ulises Contreras onBandai Namco held an event with announcements, but players were expecting to see Goku

As one of the most successful manga and anime series in history, Dragon Ball Z has a plethora of games under its belt. While most of the offerings are mediocre or decent, the Budokai Tenkaichi saga stood out for its fun gameplay and diverse roster. We already know that a new installment is on the way, but the lack of news has exhausted the patience of the community.
In early March, Bandai Namco revealed that the fighting video game subfranchise would be making a comeback with a new installment. At that time, they only shared a teaser where Goku transforms into Super Saiyan Blue, suggesting that the game will cover the events of Dragon Ball Super.
Unfortunately, that cool but brief teaser is the only thing the company has shared in recent months. The project still doesn't have an official name, so fans refer to it as Budokai Tenkaichi 4. It seemed like there would be news this weekend, but disappointment knocked on the door.
Fans wanted to see more of Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 4
On July 1st, the Bandai Namco Entertainment Summer Showcase 2023 took place, an event where the Japanese company shared news about its games. That was the ideal stage to meet the new characters from Naruto and Boruto, as well as to see the first trailer of the new Jujutsu Kaisen game.
Despite the hopes of fans, Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 4 was noticeably absent from the showcase. Fans quickly mobilized to express their discontent and disappointment on social media and forums. While some took it with humor and shared memes, some players were genuinely angry.
"This was the worst Anime Expo. They know that we have been patiently waiting for additional news about Budokai Tenkaichi. It's been 4 months since the announcement, and there has been nothing since then. I understand that it's in early development, but they should at least show a preview," commented a frustrated fan.
"I wasted 5 hours just to get more information about a game that was announced a month ago instead of a title that everyone is waiting for," said another person on Twitter.
