Game publishers pay tribute to racing rally star Ken Block after his tragic accident

On this Tuesday, January 3, the official announcement was made by Hooligan Racing Division through a post on Instagram that, sadly, Ken Block passed away in an accident while riding a snowmobile in Utah, United States. A news that shook the motorsport world, family and acquaintances alike.

Ken was also part of the world of video games participating as a playable character and on other occasions adding his distinctive vehicle in different racing titles. This time we can see how game publishers such as Forza Motorsport, Forza Horizon, and Gran Turismo pay tribute to Ken in the following publications made via Twitter.
How did it happen?
The Wasatch County Sheriff's Office mentions the events that led to the discovery of this matter. The following is taken directly from the official Facebook post:
"On January 2, 2023, at approximately 2:00 p.m., the Wasatch County 911 Center received a call reporting a snowmobile accident in the Mill Hollow area.
Search and Rescue, along with law enforcement from Wasatch County Sheriff’s Office, Utah State Parks, and the U.S. Forest Service responded.
The driver, Kenneth Block, 55-year-old male out of Park City, Utah, was riding a snowmobile on a steep slope when the snowmobile upended, landing on top of him. He was pronounced deceased at the scene from injuries sustained in the accident.
Mr. Block was riding with a group but was alone when the accident occurred.
The State Medical Examiner’s Office will determine the official cause of death.
We are saddened to hear of the loss of Kenneth and our hearts are with his family and friends so deeply affected.
We thank all of our first responders for their continued service."

It is a sad event that no one expected to hear about on only the third day of 2023, Ken left a great legacy and will always be remembered with a smile for what he was, a talented "visionary" and "pioneering" man.
