"Give us Twitter Back!" Elon Musk booed at VALORANT tournament
By Mardokeo Galván onThe backlash against the executive and his controversial changes to the platform is intense

Elon Musk is one of the most controversial figures today. The South African entrepreneur and magnate caught attention when he purchased Twitter in 2022, but what garnered even more attention were the multitude of changes he implemented in the following months. The reaction from internet users was so strong that the executive chose to step down as CEO of the company. Well, today the public showed its rejection once again by booing Musk at a video game tournament.
The owner and CEO of X, formerly known as Twitter, took the weekend to attend the VALORANT Champions, a tournament for the game developed by Riot Games that took place in California, USA, to support one of his children. However, what caught everyone's attention was the way attendees of the event reacted to his presence.
VALORANT Champions attendees are unhappy with Twitter's changes
During one of the matches in the competition, the main camera for the event screens and online broadcasts focused on Musk, immediately prompting an intense reaction of surprise, which slowly turned into a chorus of boos.
Apparently, attendees remembered what Musk has done to Twitter and quickly coordinated to chant "give us back Twitter" multiple times in unison. However, it's unclear how Musk reacted as he was no longer on screen.
"The audience is funny," commented one of the event commentators, as it was a moment that didn't go unnoticed.
