It's taken a long time, but the awaited God of War: Ragnarök gameplay trailer is finally here. Yes, Kratos and Atreus are back, armed with axes, bows, and arrows, to transport us - for a few seconds - to Svartalfheim, the dwarf kingdom.
Through GameInformer, we have access to the first gameplay footage of God of War: Ragnarök, a title that is more than expected by players, and the sequel to God of War 2018.
Even though this game proposed exploring Midgard and its vast Lake of the Nine, as well as Alfheim, Helheim, Jötunheim, Niflheim, and Muspelheim, three kingdoms (Asgard, Vanaheim, and Svartalfheim) were inaccessible before, this will be fixed in God of War: Ragnarök.
The game's director, Eric Williams, has stated that it will now be possible to visit all nine realms, and this very first gameplay reveals the first images of Svartalfheim, the dwarf kingdom.

Looking at the short video, we can also see that Kratos has learned new techniques for overcoming obstacles. For example, he will be able to use his axe to freeze geysers that block his passage.
According to GameInformer, this new vertical kingdom will feature many puzzles that require you to use your various tools to solve them. Of course, Atreus will be able to assist us once more, as he is willing to manipulate devices that are usually out of reach.
Sony recently announced a God of War: Ragnarök release date of November 9, 2022, for the PlayStation 5 and the Playstation 4, alongside four editions of the game.
