GoldenEye's online mode will be a Nintendo Switch exclusive

GoldenEye 007, Rare's Nintendo 64 shooter, will be "soon" added to the Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack, incorporating online multiplayer, according to the Nintendo Direct on Tuesday, September 13.
Simultaneously, Microsoft announced on its official blog a remaster of the classic for Xbox Series and Xbox One, which will be available on Xbox Game Pass and as an update for Rare Replay. They are not, however, the same game, and the online multiplayer will be exclusive to the Switch version.
''Exclusive to the new Switch version of the 1997 title will be online play, allowing 007 fans across the world to take part in the popular four-person multiplayer mode together,'' the game's official website reads.
“Xbox is excited to bring GoldenEye 007 to Xbox Game Pass for the very first time – a faithful recreation of a much-loved and iconic title,” a spokesperson revealed to VGC.

The Nintendo Switch version, like the other Nintendo 64 games added to the subscription service, will be the same title as on the Nintendo 64 but with an online mode.
Meanwhile, the Xbox remastering will include new controls (compatible with both sticks), graphics (panoramic resolution up to 4K and a stable frame rate per second), and features (it will have achievements). There is no set release date for either of them.
