Hogwarts Legacy for Nintendo Switch is delayed, but has a new release date
By Ulises Contreras onHybrid console users will have to wait months to enjoy the Harry Potter title

Despite the huge controversy that surrounded it due to J.K. Rowling's statements and ideological stance, Hogwarts Legacy is one of the most celebrated and popular releases of the year. Unfortunately, thousands of people will have to wait a little longer to enjoy it.
The video game based on the magical universe of Harry Potter debuted on February 10th for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. Months later, on May 5th, it finally arrived on PS4 and Xbox One with positive results. The only pending platform on the list is Nintendo Switch.
Unfortunately, hybrid console users will have to wait until the end of the year to explore this open-world game developed by Avalanche Software.
WHEN WILL HOGWARTS LEGACY DEBUT ON NINTENDO SWITCH?
We must remember that the Nintendo Switch version of Hogwarts Legacy was scheduled to debut on July 25th. Sadly, there was a change of plans. Through a Twitter post, the developer studio confirmed that the version for the N console has been delayed and will now debut on November 14th, 2023.
"We know fans are eager to play on Switch. Therefore, creating the best possible experience is our top priority. Thank you for your patience," reads the company statement.
In its latest financial report, Warner Bros. Discovery revealed that Hogwarts Legacy has already sold 15 million units and generated over $1 billion worldwide since its launch earlier this year. While it said that the versions for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One will be important for commercial success, it stated that they have more hopes for the port for Nintendo Switch.
