"It’s gonna be the best Gears of War game": E-day creative director raises fans' hype

Gears of War: E-Day has rekindled interest in the popular Xbox and The Coalition franchise like never before. Fans are more than excited for the arrival of this prequel, which will explore one of the most important and interesting moments in the entire saga.
The developers are also very enthusiastic about this project. Proof of this is that Matt Searcy, the studio's creative director, has heightened players' hype by assuring that the new installment will be the best Gears of War yet.
Dev promises that Gears of War: E-Day will be the best game in the series

During a recent interview, the creative highlighted how challenging it is to make video games. He emphasized the significant investment required in every aspect of their creation; however, he believes it's all worth it when a team finds an idea that excites them.
In this regard, everyone at The Coalition is thrilled about Gears of War: E-Day, the story it will tell, and what it will offer to fans who have been waiting for years to enjoy a new installment.
Additionally, he stated that the game will showcase The Coalition's technology in all its glory, so everything is set to deliver a great game. As expected, his statements have only heightened players' hype even more.
"It’s gonna be the best fucking Gears game everybody’s ever played, if we make that one. We had this technology that we were working on. This is the story that’s gonna showcase it the best. I think it’s really, at the end of the day (...) there’s a whole studio of people that are invested in this idea," the creative commented.
Gears of War: E-Day will be set more than a decade before the first game in the original trilogy. It will take place at a key moment for the franchise, telling the story of how the Locust invasion began on the planet Sera. For now, it does not have a confirmed release date.
