Honkai: Star Rail has only been available for a few months, but for some, this period has felt very long as they eagerly await the chance to obtain the game's best waifu. Today, there is good news as it has been confirmed that the wait will soon come to an end.

HoYoverse held a livestream where they revealed in detail what will be included in version 1.2 of Honkai: Star Rail. Like in previous updates, the company has prepared a ton of content, but undoubtedly, what caught the most attention is the upcoming debut of the waifu Kafka.

When will Kafka become a playable character in Honkai: Star Rail?

This attractive female character from Honkai: Star Rail has already been present in the game; in fact, she is the one who welcomes players to this fabulous universe, which is why many have grown fond of her and even refer to her as "mamita" (mommy), and not in a sexual way... not at all.

However, up until now, Kafka has been a non-playable character (NPC), which means that fans have not been able to obtain her through gacha mechanics, let alone control her and make her part of their team.

But this will change on July 19th when version 1.2 of Honkai: Star Rail, titled "Twilight of Immortality," is released. As part of this update, Kafka will become a playable character, and players will finally be able to try to obtain her.

Husbando Blade will soon debut in Honkai: Star Rail

If you're more into husbandos, HoYoverse has you covered because as part of the upcoming update, they will release the Blade banner, featuring another extremely attractive and powerful character, a 5-star character.

Additionally, Luka (a 4-star character) was also revealed and will debut in version 1.2.

You can watch the trailer below, which showcases the three new characters in action, as well as the upcoming events in the Tales of the Fantastic update, such as Simulated Universe: World 7, Underground Treasure Hunt, Where Are You, Myster Trotter?, and The Voyage of Navis Astriger, along with new ornaments and relics.

"All things have an end, no matter how immortal they may be. It is not a cruel punishment from heaven but rather forgiveness," reads the official description of the new version.

How to get free Star Rail Special Passes in Honkai: Star Rail?

As part of the livestream, as is customary, HoYoverse shared a few codes that offer Stellar Jades and other valuable items. Here are the codes. Remember to redeem them within 24 hours after the livestream as they will expire tomorrow, July 9th (Mexico City time).
