Marvel's Spider-Man 2 sold millions of copies in record time
According to details, Marvel's Spider-Man 2 managed to sell over 2.5 million copies in just 24 hours. This makes it the fastest selling PlayStation Studios production in PlayStation history.
With this, it managed to surpass the sales records that other games achieved during their first 24 hours of being on the market. Among them are God of War: Ragnarök and The Last of Us: Part II. Thus, PlayStation and Insomniac Games already consider Marvel's Spider-Man 2 a resounding success.
Their initial sales figure includes pre-sales and copies included in PS5 bundles. The companies shared a special image where they thank gamers for all their support for the sequel.
To put the Marvel's Spider-Man 2 figures in perspective, it's worth remembering that Marvel's Spider-Man sold 3.3 million copies in its first 3 days. For its part, God of War: Ragnarök managed to reach 5 million copies sold in one week.
This implies that the new adventure of Peter Parker and Miles Morales is on track to break both records in less time.
