In a document submitted to the United States Federal Trade Commission (FTC), Microsoft revealed that the majority of players do not use Xbox Cloud Gaming for its primary purpose, which is to enjoy complete titles through streaming.

According to Microsoft, the majority of Xbox Cloud Gaming users do not use the service to fully enjoy their favorite games through the cloud. Instead, almost all players use the service only for game testing purposes.
The reason? The company believes it is due to various technical limitations. As you know, Xbox Cloud Gaming relies on a robust infrastructure and internet connection. So, part of the community still has doubts about its model.
As you may know, cloud gaming is a crucial topic in relation to the acquisition of Activision Blizzard. In its meeting today with the FTC, Microsoft argued that cloud gaming is a complementary part of its business but is far from being its primary market.
Their statements regarding Xbox Cloud Gaming aim to exemplify this point, as Microsoft emphasizes that cloud gaming is still not very popular among its user base.
