MultiVersus is the most popular fighting game on Steam
By Frida Salazar onAnd is not even officially released yet

MultiVersus has captivated players all around the world in a way that many were not expecting, and rightly so! Name another game that puts Batman and Shaggy on the same battlefield.
Surprisingly even if the title is still in its beta phase, it has already positioned at the top of the fighting genre on Steam, and before you flood the comments saying that it is not a fighting game remember that there is not a Brawler genre list per se.
Breaking expectations
According to a report from Event Hubs, the MultiVersus Beta is a success as it currently shows 49,961 users in the last 35 minutes, with an average of 48,817 in the last 24 hours, an average of 37,674 players in the last 30 days and an all-time high, so far, of 61,964.
These figures speak for themselves as they have immediately placed developer Player First Games and Warner Bros. Interactive's game as the most successful in the brawler genre on Steam.
Again, yes, we know that MultiVersus is a brawler but right now the game is reporting higher numbers than the most popular titles of the fighting genre on Steam, such as Street Fighter V, Brawlhalla, TEKKEN 7, Mortal Kombat 11, Guilty Gear Strive, Dragon Ball FighterZ and King of Fighters XV.
It should be noted that MultiVersus has had its beta with early access since last week, so we are talking that it took about only a few days to achieve its success while waiting for the official launch.
The real question is… Will you play it?
