THQ Nordic went all out at its Digital Showcase, we received a lot of information, however, one that stood up for the RPG fans was the brand new trailer for the Gothic 1 Remake.

Back in 2019, THQ Nordic released a 2-hour playable demo of Gothic, the 2001 cult favourite RPG that saw the light on PC and while it was well received by critics the difficult control scheme and high system requirements stopped it to be as “popular” as Diablo even though both share many thematic similarities.

However, this demo if well received will mean that the team at THQ Nordic Barcelona will get green-lighted to start working on a remake and well… is quite evident they did.

Finally!

While the remake was confirmed last year, most fans were eager to finally have a good look at how the game is being reimagined. Of course, this is not gameplay but a cinematic trailer, nonetheless, we are happy to see how THQ has improved graphics, models, and lighting in order to give us the best experience possible in new-gen consoles.

Gothic 1 Remake is expected for Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5 and PC without a confirmed release date.
