Nintendo Pictures has been announced: a new subsidiary focused on visual content

Nintendo has agreed to acquire Dynamo Pictures, a Tokyo-based company focused on planning and producing visual content, as announced today by Nintendo itself.
According to the press release, this acquisition will allow the company to "strengthen the planning and production structure of visual content in the group" utilizing Nintendo IP.

Following the close of the acquisition on October 3, 2022, Dynamo Pictures will be renamed Nintendo Pictures.
Founded in 2004, Dynamo Pictures has worked on content for several franchises like Naruto, Mega Man, Monster Hunter, NieR, and Yo-kai Watch. Also, is the company behind Pikmin animated shorts.
This purchase will have only a minor effect on the company's results for the current fiscal year, the company assured in the press release.
