Obsidian celebrates 25 years of Fallout but shrugs off New Vegas sequel
By Alejandro Díaz de León on''Our plates are pretty full right now, so no''

Given their close connection to the open-world RPG franchise, Obsidian employees could not resist participating in the 25th-anniversary celebration of Fallout. The California-based company's social media post provides insights into Fallout New Vegas 2's development.
To participate in social greetings for the 25th anniversary of the release of the first Fallout game, the Xbox Game Studios subsidiary connects back to the video about the series' inception. The tweet from Obsidian Entertainment also serves as a reminder of how the initial Fallout game established the roots that "helped form us and a world we truly love."
Aware of the community's interest in the future of Fallout New Vegas and the 'Pandora's box' they would have uncovered on social media with this post, Obsidian spokespersons emphasize that "before anyone asks, our plates are pretty full right now, so no."
The Obsidian developers reiterate that they are working on other games while avoiding directly mentioning Fallout New Vegas 2. They mention Pentiment, which will launch soon, their promise to continue supporting Grounded after version 1.0, and, in the medium- to long-term, the fantasy role-playing game Avowed and the space opera The Outer Worlds 2.
According to VGC, a sequel to Fallout New Vegas is in 'very early talks' at Microsoft, according to the well-known VentureBeat's journalist Jeff Grubb.
