Palworld: Nintendo makes first move against the Pokémon with guns
By Daniel Laguna onCompany wants to stop a project related to the Pocketpair game

Palworld has been a resounding success, but it is not without controversy due to its similarities to Pokémon. Part of the community believes that the Pocketpair title is blatantly inspired by the franchise from Nintendo and The Pokémon Company.
As many expected, the companies have already made their first move against Palworld. This is because they are looking to stop an interesting project related to the title: a mod that brings various Pokémon characters and creatures to the Pocketpair title.
Nintendo goes against Pokémon mods for Palworld

In case you don't remember, a video of an attractive Pokémon mod for Palworld was shown this week. The project brings Ash, Misty, Brock, Jesse, Pikachu and many other creatures from the franchise to the Pocketpair game.
Youtuber Toasted Shoes was in charge of revealing the first preview of said mod, which left gamers surprised. As many expected, Nintendo didn't sit idly by.
The content creator confirmed that Nintendo pulled the video he posted on X through a copyright claim. Because of this, it's unclear what will happen with the project, as Toasted Shoes promised to release a much more complete video today to show the mod in depth.
It's likely that Nintendo will do their best to stop these kinds of modifications for Palworld, so it's almost certain that the modding community will avoid working with The Pokémon Company's franchise.
As you probably already know, Palworld has been accused of allegedly plagiarizing Pokémon and several of its creatures. Pocketpair denied the accusations and stated that its project is very different. It also added that it is not worried about a possible lawsuit from Nintendo.
