The folks at Starbreeze Studios and Overkill Software have started 2023 in the best way possible, offering all their eagerly awaiting gamers a teaser trailer for Payday 3 and reassuring them about the launch window.
The teaser trailer for Payday 3 appeared at the stroke of midnight on January 1 on Overkill Software's YouTube channel. Entitled "A New Criminal Dawn," it shows the four bank robbers witnessing a fireworks display, presumably just before they make themselves the protagonists of another daring heist.
It is coming out this year!
The footage is in-engine but is taken from a pre-Alpha version of the game, thus subject to change between now and the game's release, which the development team (after assurances in November) has once again set during 2023 on PC and consoles. Halfway through the video, it reads: "This is the year of Payday 3," a loud and clear message addressed to all players who have been waiting for many years.
The teaser trailer for Payday 3 also unveiled the game's official logo and announced the opening of the page on Steam, putting rumors of an Epic Games Store exclusive launch to rest. The official description describes it as a high-octane cooperative FPS experience that intends to deliver the thrill of perfectly planned and executed shots.
In case you missed it: Capcom wants to know your opinion about its games this and next year.
The story is set several years after the events in Washington, D.C., and sees the Payday Gang-the nightmare of law enforcement-emerge from the shadows to confront once and for all the threat that drove it into early retirement.
The Steam page also offers a series of screenshots and confirms the adaptation of the Italian language text and subtitles with English voice acting. Enjoy the opening trailer and run to add Payday 3 to your Steam wish list!
