Ahoy! I hope all pirates are ready for the anticipated Sea of Thieves Season 8. One of the most awaited features just arrived for everyone to enjoy. It's faction-based PvP combat!

As mentioned in the official announcement via Twitter, this season also has an allegiance system, new faction locations, skeletons, ghostly curses, more captaincy alignments, 100 levels of seasonal rewards, an emporium refresh, and more!

Vote to pledge your loyalty to either the Guardians of Fortune or the Servants of the Flame. By representing a Faction you will earn Allegiance, and other rewards as you play.

Those who are diligent Faction devotees are eventually invited to secret rituals that bestow unique affectations, these can be in the form of the Ghostly Curse and Skeleton Curse.

There are also new Twitch Drops sailing very soon! You can earn a selection of new and classic items from the Eastern Winds Sapphire, Rising Morningstar and Frozen Horizon sets by just watching Twitch streams, so be on the lookout for them!
