By Pedro Pérez Cesari onProject Bloom will be an action game and is expected to be multiplatform

Game Freak is best known for being the main responsible behind the main installments of Pokémon. That said, it's actually a studio that works on other properties and wants to expand more on those kind of initiatives. That's why they're already working on a new and ambitious game with a branch of the company that owns Rockstar Games.
Through a statement on their website, Private Division, a division of Take-Two Interactive, announced that it has reached a distribution agreement with Game Freak. They will become responsible for distributing Project Bloom, an action and adventure game that will be the start of a new Game Freak franchise.
As part of the announcement, Game Freak and Private Division gave us a glimpse of the first artwork for Project Bloom. We can see its world, which shows us a natural environment promising adventures and mysteries.

According to Kota Furushima, director at Game Freak, Project Bloom will be something "bold" and completely different from what they have done before. Thus, it's expected to be an ambitious project with a very different direction than what we've seen in Pokémon, Tembo The Badass Elephant or Pocket Card Jockey.
"We're thrilled to have the opportunity to create new IP that is bold and tonally different from our prior work," said Kota Furushima, Director at Game Freak. "From the beginning, Private Division was the publisher we wanted to work with on our new game. Their track record and global expertise give us all the confidence to create a sweeping new action-adventure game that we can't wait.
It should be mentioned that Project Bloom does not yet have a release date. That said, it is expected to debut at some point in fiscal year 2026. We will keep you posted and inform you when we know more about it.
