The Pokémon Trading Card Game (TCG) is a resounding success, with the latest expansions in Japan sparking so much interest that all products from the brand have sold out.

That's right, demand has overwhelmed The Pokémon Company once again, making it unable to sell not just the latest expansions, Clay Burst and Snow Hazard, but products from the entire brand.

"We currently do not have any stock of any Pokémon Trading Card Game [Pok émon TCG] products," the statement reads. "We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience caused to customers who are unable to purchase."

While The Pokémon Company speaks of the entire brand, it's important to note that there were no problems with previous sets and expansions like VSTAR Universe, Pokémon Scarlet ex, and Pokémon Violet ex. Rather, this high demand is centered around the latest expansions, which include highly sought-after cards such as one featuring Iono, the gym leader from Levincia, selling at absurdly high prices on resale sites.

"We will continue to do our best to ensure everyone can enjoy the Pokémon Trading Card Game," the statement concludes.

The Pokémon Company acknowledged the shortage for the first time last week, but the situation hasn't improved since then. In a new statement over the weekend, they said they plan to continue to strengthen production and supply while also preparing to ship packages of Clay Burst and Snow Hazard and opening a pre-order period for Clay Burst.

This isn't the first time such a shortage has occurred; in fact, in 2021 (during the pandemic), The Pokémon Company acknowledged an unprecedented scarcity and took measures to replenish stock. Thanks to these efforts, the production figure of cards reached a historic 9 billion, something unprecedented for the brand.
