Sony released this morning a new update for PlayStation 5, so it's time to update your console. Version 23.02-08.20.00 of your system includes some minor tweaks and a few new features related to multimedia functions, social options and the use of PlayStation VR2. Below, we detail all the changes and additions.

What's new in the recent PS5 update?
Sony listened to PS VR2 users who were suffering from an annoying problem. Sometimes, they would accidentally show their surroundings when streaming virtual reality games. The company added an option to block the outside view, which will prevent the outside image of the camera from being displayed on screen.
This new feature is available in the Settings section, in the Accessories tab, where there is a section dedicated to PlayStation VR2. On the other hand, Sony improved the experience when using the Music option in the control center, as it will now have 2 columns to explore categories, songs and playlists in a more intuitive way.
As for social functions, the update improves messages and makes it easier to access some screens. Finally, players can use the "What's new?" voice command to find out if there are new features on their console.
However, this feature relies on the voice command, which is currently available for testing in selected regions, such as the United States and the United Kingdom. To download update 23.02-08.20.00 you will need approximately 1.2 GB of free space on your console.
