Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout is one of the most entertaining multiplayer games of the last decade. That's why alarms went off when reports surfaced stating that Mediatonic, its development studio, was left without staff after Epic Games' recent rounds of layoffs, but is that true?
Let's break it down. This morning, Epic Games announced a series of layoffs, leaving approximately 900 company members without jobs. According to various online reports, Mediatonic was one of the most affected, to the extent that all its employees lost their jobs.
Through social media, several creatives who worked at Mediatonic revealed that they were looking for new employment. This added fuel to the fire of rumors, and many assumed that the reports were true, but is it so?

Shortly after these reports emerged, Jason Schreier, one of the most reliable journalists in the industry, made a post on Twitter. He explained that he investigated the situation and found that, while the studio was affected by the massive layoffs today, reports/rumors that the entire studio was closed are not accurate.
