As the trophy list for Persona 3 Portable Remastered leaks online, Atlus' popular JRPG becomes the star of an intriguing rumour.

Spreading the rumour is the insider active on Resetera as "lolilolailo." Already well-known in the gaming community, the latter had correctly anticipated the forthcoming debut of Persona 5 Royal, Persona 4 Golden Remastered and Persona 3 Portable Remastered in the Xbox Game Pass catalogue.

A risky investment?

Now, the mysterious leaker is back at it again, anticipating the future announcement by Atlus of a full-fledged Persona 3 remake, and despite scepticism, this could make sense.

The project, says the insider, should rely on a hefty budget intended to transform the JRPG into a product comparable to Persona 5 Royal. The remake should therefore involve both the technical and graphical aspects of Persona 3 and quality of life elements such as user interface, accessibility, and more.

At the moment, needless to point out, this is merely a rumour, which may or may not, therefore, be well-founded. In any case, lolilolailo's statements, which have been proven correct in the past, echo recent promises by Atlus, which anticipated having many announcements in the pipeline for 2023.
