A couple of days ago Double jump.tokyo, a blockchain game developer and NFT solution provider in the gaming and entertainment sector announced their partnership with SEGA to develop a blockchain game under the license of arcade saga Sangokushi Taisen.
If you are not familiar with Sangokushi Taisen, you must know that this is a competitive real-time strategy-based card action game for arcades; with a hybrid physical and digital mechanic developed on the Chihiro arcade system.
What can we expect?
According to the report by Japanese news portal 4Gamer, the game, will be the work of four different companies, with SEGA providing the Sangokushi Taisen IP, Double jump.tokyo serving as developer and operator, Oasys will provide the built, and HomeVerse will be the official platform for the game.
We know SEGA’s CEO Haruki Satomi is completely on board NFT and blockchain wagon and more and more Japanese companies are focusing on crypto-based projects. So far neither SEGA nor Double jump.tokyo have announced a release date and the platforms on which it will be available, however, we will update this information once more news comes to light.
