Good news has arrived regarding the upcoming Sonic the Hedgehog movie, as it has just been announced that there is a tentative date for the start of production.

As you may recall, Sonic The Hedgehog 2 was one of the most beloved movies in the industry in recent years, so the fan community of the blue hedgehog is eager to know how its story will continue.

Recently, rumors were heard about who could be the next villain in the plot, and now it has just been shared that the production schedule for the movie indicates that filming will begin in August.

When will Sonic the Hedgehog 3 be released?

While fans of the saga are awaiting the Knuckles spin-off series that will be released at the end of this 2023 on Paramount+, those responsible for the new Sonic the Hedgehog movie have stated on several occasions that its premiere is scheduled for December of next year.

However, pending an official announcement by SEGA and Paramount, the start of filming and the tentative release date could change if the writers' strike continues, something that already affected other films such as the sequel to Super Mario Bros. The Movie.
