The story continues with Sonic X Shadow Generations, which appeals to a style that combines 2D and 3D. What does Sonic X Shadow Generations include?

After the presentation of Sonic X Shadow Generations in State of Play, SEGA revealed details about this new installment set to debut on consoles and PC in the fall of this year. According to the Japanese company, this title includes the remastering of Sonic Generations, a game that debuted back in 2011 with positive reviews, especially from those who were captivated by the proposal of Sonic Adventures.

However, Sonic X Shadow Generations doesn't stop there. In addition to the remastering of the original title, there is a complete campaign starring Shadow. This campaign will have a structure of both 2D and 3D scenarios, allowing players to experience 2 independent adventures.

Regarding this, Takashi Iizuka, the creative director of Sonic Team, stated: "With Sonic X Shadow Generations, we wanted to bring Sonic Generations to this generation while pairing it with a new Shadow story to intertwine with the original narrative. With Shadow's part, players will get to know him more as a character and understand his motivations. It will create the ultimate celebration of classic and modern Sonic that all fans are sure to enjoy."
