The Boys’ star Chace Crawford makes fun of his haters
By Sara Araujo onLooks like not everyone is a “deep” fan of Chace’s character

The Boy’s third season has just arrived, and obviously, we can’t stop talking about it. So if you still haven’t checked it out, I highly recommend doing so. Don’t worry; this is not an article related to the latest episodes. But it is related to one of the most popular characters in the series.
Now that The Boys is trending worldwide (again), every media is looking to have a conversation with the actors that give life to our favorite characters. And turns out that during an interview with GQ, The Deep’s Chace Crawford confessed to receiving very hateful messages online. Most of the hatred has come from Aquaman fans that haven’t enjoyed the mockery of the DC character.
The Boys actor Chace Crawford said that his social media had been the primary target for the hatred: “Occasionally on Instagram, I'll get a ‘F**k you, fish guy. You think it's funny to make fun of Aquaman?' I'm like, perfect. That's exactly what I want!”
It is pretty clear how the Deep resembles an underwater hero like Aquaman, but, in my opinion, that’s the only thing they have in common. I can’t recall a comic strip in which Aquaman had joined a cult (aside from Justice League, lol) or was forced to marry a random lady to maintain a likable appearance. But maybe that’s just me.
