The CMA will ask for the public's opinion on the purchase of Activision Blizzard by Xbox

Gamers and the entire video game industry are eager to know how Microsoft's purchase of Activision Blizzard has progressed. For the same reason, we update you that the UK Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) continues to work on its investigation to determine if the purchase can be completed or if it will harm the industry.
According to GamesIndustry.biz, the CMA shared a statement detailing its concerns about Microsoft's deal with Activision Blizzard this week. So now, they will continue with a new phase of the investigation.
What will this new phase be about? We explain that so far, CMA has heard arguments from Xbox, PlayStation, and other companies; however, they have not considered the consumer's voice until now, which is why the CMA has invited the public to share their opinion on the purchase agreement.

WHAT IS THE CMA LOOKING FOR?
All the efforts of the CMA regarding this purchase is to be able to determine if the purchase of Xbox will damage and unbalance the gaming industry with monopoly practices.
As you know, the CMA intends to determine if the agreement will harm competition. If so, it will look for solutions that can accommodate those involved.

"If we believe that the purchase may have a negative impact on competition, we will start thinking about potential solutions to these concerns," he explained.
