The excitement for the next instalment of The Game Awards is building. Many fans look forward to that time of year because it is when the famous Game Of The Year title is announced, but the TGA stage is also a very important presentation and video game showcase for works that will be released the following year.
Just a few hours after announcing the date on which the games nominated for the event will be officially revealed, the organizers of the video game fair announced a new and significant collaboration with a leading company—or rather, one of the most important and well-known companies—in the field of digital communications for the world of video games and beyond, Discord.
What will collaboration feature?
The Game Awards has announced a partnership with Discord. This event will mark a groundbreaking moment for users, who can access the appropriate channel on the Discord platform- a series of features that will ensure viewers' active participation. The latter, in fact, through access to the server of The Game Awards, will be able to:
- Vote for nominees in TGA Discord Server
- Watch TGA live in the server with Watch Together
- AMA Stage Events ft. Special Guests
- Best Community Support Award
Users thus have a way to actively participate in the awards ceremony that will begin on December 8, 2022, creating a community spirit also thanks to the ease of use and versatility of Discord as a social platform. This will also allow everyone to participate in the event from home, although there has been a return to non-digital presentations for the TGAs.
December 8, 2022, is approaching, and we can't wait to see what the event presented by Geoff Keighley will have in store for us. With the event taking place in less than a month, we need to be a little patient.
