After releasing the teen-horror title, The Quarry, Supermassive Games is taking their work to the next level with a new title. The good news is that the upcoming horror game is already in development. During an interview with VGC, Will Byles, director at Supermassive Games, revealed some details about this new project:

“We’ve started working on [the next game],” he said. “I can’t really tell you very much at all about it, but we have started. Again, it’s the same sort of horror genre; we’re sticking to that. It’s equivalent in size to The Quarry… and that’s about as much as I can say without giving too much away.”

He alsos added: “Potentially we might be a little bit like… But, I don’t know how far we can stretch the teen horror thing out further, because, especially when we try to stir it up, the number of surprises you can add to that becomes limited.”

VGC also asked Byles how long fans will be waiting for the next game; he advised that the turnaround should be much shorter than the seven-year wait between Until Dawn and The Quarry: “It will be 2025, or maybe 2026.”
