While already highly anticipated despite the few details released so far, The Witcher Polaris will not be released until 2025, requiring at least three years of development according to CD Projekt RED's estimates. But the Polish studio is aiming very big with the fourth major game in the series, entrusting it to one of its most distinguished veterans.
Who is this CD Projekt RED veteran?
Through the Twitter post, Sebastian Kalemba confirms that he is the director of the new The Witcher saga, hinting that he will direct not only The Witcher Polaris but also the subsequent games that will make up the second trilogy of the video game series.
Kalemba joined CD Projekt RED in 2014, working first as the lead animator of The Witcher 3 Wild Hunt and then becoming animation director of the Hearts of Stone and Blood and Wine expansions; he later held this same position for Cyberpunk 2077, until now taking the big step forward with The Witcher 4.
In case you missed it: These 7 games will leave Xbox Game Pass very soon.
In addition to the main games, the new saga of The Witcher will also have spin-offs, and the aim is to release the second trilogy within six years of the release of the first title. Let's see where Kalemba's vision will take the celebrated brand!
