This Is How Beautiful the Final Fantasy Cards Will Be in Magic: The Gathering

Final Fantasy has remained one of the most iconic franchises in the video game world. Its popularity is such that it will soon collaborate with Magic: The Gathering, and today we got a glimpse of how beautiful these cards will be.
At MagicCon: Las Vegas 2024, Wizards of the Coast shared new details about its collaboration with Square Enix to release Final Fantasy-themed cards as part of the Magic: The Gathering Universes Beyond collection, which was announced in mid-2023.
This collaboration will not focus on a specific installment of the series but rather cover several, as it features iconic characters like Sephiroth and Lightning. According to Wizards of the Coast, characters from Final Fantasy through Final Fantasy XVI (excluding spin-offs) will appear, making it the largest collaboration of this kind in Square Enix's history.

When Will the Final Fantasy Collection in Magic: The Gathering Be Available?
To excite fans, both companies gave a preview of six of the most stunning cards in the collection, showcasing beautiful illustrations of characters like Lightning, Sephiroth, Kefka, Emet-Selch, a moogle, and Tidus and Yuna recreating their memorable kissing scene.
The collaboration between Magic: The Gathering and Final Fantasy now has a release date: June 13, 2025. Unfortunately, pricing details were not provided, so fans eager to get these special cards will have to be patient.
It's anticipated that characters like Terra, Noctis, Cloud, chocobos, behemoths, and other classic elements from the series will also make an appearance. Below, you can see the first six illustrations from the collection.
