After a few teaser videos by Riot Games promoting the new VALORANT agent today finally officially revealed Gekko, the Los Angeles agent who will arrive next week along with the update to Episode 6 Act 2. And not only that, his abilities were showcased as well.

Agent 22 and his unique and distinctive abilities

In Gekko's official reveal video, we can initially see the agent at his home in Los Angeles in which he makes a video recording himself while dyeing his hair green, the same color he will be using in-game when it becomes available in the next update.

In addition, we see Gekko on his way to meet Reyna at the mural, and on his way, we can see some of the creatures that always accompany him which are Dizzy, Wingman, Thrash, and Mosh. These four creatures are the set of abilities that Gekko will be using as an agent in-game and they were explained and showcased during the VCT live stream event today.

From what we can see each Gekko creature has a different ability that will help to exercise its position as an initiator. There is Mosh showcasing a utility that seemingly works as a delayed molly that causes a lot of damage. Dizzy will be helpful to clear difficult angles and blind enemies for a very short period.

Wingman will run in a commanded direction and if it finds an enemy it will reveal and stun in a cone; additionally, it has a new feature whether planting or defusing the spike depending on which side are you on. Last but least there is Thrash, the ultimate ability that works similarly to Skye's dog and when jumping in the enemy it will cause detention, just as Killjoy does with her ultimate.

Gekko will be available from the next VALORANT update that will be happening next Monday, March 6, plus with this one there will be a Battle Pass reset and also a reset of your ranked leaderboard, so it will be advisable to try some games with and against Gekko before you have problems when starting leaderboards again.
