Warner Bros. revenue plummets, and the culprit is once again Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League

Warner Bros. Discovery shared its most recent financial report, and there’s bad news concerning its video game division. The revenue from this branch has once again taken a steep dive, and the culprit is none other than Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League.
The game from Rocksteady was a resounding failure, failing to meet the expectations of both critics and players. In less than two weeks, its player count dropped to alarming numbers for a live-service game, causing the project to crash along with the company’s revenue.
Warner Bros. Discovery crashes again due to Suicide Squad failure

Warner Bros. Discovery has admitted several times that Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League was a failure and did not meet their expectations in any way. The company’s numbers speak for themselves, as the lack of success of this ambitious title has taken a significant toll.
According to the details, the company's video game revenue saw a 41% drop during the most recent quarter of the fiscal year compared to the same period in the previous fiscal year.
The main cause is the poor performance of Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League in the market since its release. On the other hand, Hogwarts Legacy was a huge success that Warner Bros. Discovery has not been able to replicate with another recent launch.
In this context, Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League was the key alternative for the company to maintain good numbers in the long term; however, the project failed, and the company’s gaming division seems to be in trouble.
Despite its disastrous failure, Rocksteady has already planned four seasons of content. Some believe the title will end sooner, and of course, there are players worried about the future of the studio. It’s unclear what will happen with the title, as its player base continues to decline. At the time of writing, it only has 168 active players on Steam, which is a terrible number for a live-service game of this caliber.
