A week before its arrival on Sony and Microsoft consoles, Capcom has decided to clarify once and for all some features of its Monster Hunter Rise, among which we find cross-save.
Unlike what many fans of the series expected, the game will not enjoy full cross-save support on PlayStation and Xbox, although that feature has been partially implemented. Players can transfer saves between consoles in the same family (PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S).
These are the new features
The only exception concerns the game version that will be distributed through the Microsoft Store on PC, whose saves will be the same as the Xbox edition. It should also be pointed out that there will be no progress export system for those who have played on Nintendo Switch or Steam.
Here is a recap of how Monster Hunter Rise's cross-save works:
- PlayStation: you can transfer saves between PS4 and PS5
- Xbox: saves are shared between Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S and PC (Microsoft Store)
- Nintendo Switch: not supported
- PC (Steam): not supported
In case you missed it: The fifth and final mystery gift of Pokémon Scarlet & Violet is now available.
The only way to share progress between multiple platforms is, therefore, to play the Xbox version, which will allow seamless switching between PC and consoles.
Will you get this game for consoles when it comes out? LEt us know in the comments!
