The Texas-based publisher provided significant updates on the launch window for the final version of Wrath Aeon of Ruin, KillPixel's old-school shooter for PC and consoles, during the 3D Realms showcase from Ion Fury to Wrath.

Available in Early Access since 2019, the FPS that is based on Quake 1 technology and Andrew Hulshut's music (the composer of Quake Champions, Dusk, Amid Evil, and Rise of the Triad) is thus preparing to receive many improvements, additions, and optimizations before reaching the fateful version 1.0.

The new trailer packaged by KillPixel immerses us in the hardcore atmosphere of this shooter, giving us a glimpse of the work done by indie authors to enrich with content the odyssey to be experienced as the Outlander, a lone vigilante summoned to the Underworld to retrieve five relics and mow down as many demons as possible to quench his thirst for vengeance.

''You are Outlander. Once adrift upon the Ageless Sea, you now find yourself on the shores of a dying world. From the consuming darkness emerges a figure cloaked in white, the Shepherd of Wayward Souls, who burden you with the task of hunting down the remaining Guardians of the Old World. You must journey into the vast gloom to explore ancient ruins, discover forgotten secrets and battle the horrors that lurk within,'' the official description reads.
