Several days ago, dataminers had already reported the likely landing of a large selection of footballers in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II. Now, such an eventuality seems to be even closer.

Further sightings have led to the release of actual leaked images of Activision's shooter title. The latter feature well-known international soccer professionals.

Who are these leaked players?

As you can see, the results of dataminer searches are related to Paul Pogba and Neymar. The two sportsmen are portrayed as Operators, wearing military clothing and apparently ready to make their debut within Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II.

Currently serving in the Juventus lineup, Pogba may thus be about to temporarily divest himself of his midfielder's shoes to don those of a Call of Duty Series Operator virtually. The same fate could evidently affect Neymar, now committed as a striker in Paris Saint-Germain.

In case you missed it: Henry Cavill confirms that he will return as Superman.

At the moment, no official announcements related to the possible entry of soccer players into the shooter have come from Activision and Infinity Ward. This would not be the first unrealistic drift in the series, particularly after the clash between Godzilla and King Kong hosted by the IP last year.

Modern Warfare II launches on October 28, including game modes, maps, Perks, Field Upgrades, Killstreaks, and more. Coming to PC, Xbox series X/S, and PlayStation 5.
