According to the tweet, the collab will see the light next month, which comes at the right time for World Cup fever.

Messi will arrive with the 2.3 version update for the game, which is known to arrive next month, however without an unspecified day yet. As always with this type of event, the PUBG Mobile logo and map get a new background featuring the PSG’s player.
Also a unique set of outfits and all sorts of cosmetic items will be available, it's rumoured to have more interesting features which we will see until the official release. On the other hand, this marks the debut of Lionel Messi in any game besides FIFA, so yeah, you will have the chance to play with one of the biggest football superstars in a mobile battle royale.
In the press release, the Argentinean football star declared that videogames are an important part of his life, as he finds them incredibly useful to relax and have fun when he is not training.
