Ghost Gaming announces their own esports training academy

A new platform for the next generation of creators

Ghost Gaming is an Atlanta-based North American organization, while it started as an esports organization they also provide platforms for creators in a good number of games, so it was natural that its next step was directed towards the development of skills in the new generation of players and streamers.

Today, via a statement on their official website they announced the launch of Ghost Gaming Academy scheduled for Q1 2023. This academy will serve as a platform for youth enrichment and skill development.

In case you missed it: Krü esports is expanding to USA

You may be wondering how, well, they plan to offer (outside-of-school) pathways and projects for student engagement and career preparedness within and adjacent to the gaming industry. Among them Professional Esports Competitor, Content Creator, Livestream Broadcaster, and even Game Designer.

Ghost director PK Graff seems to be behind the idea as he has more than a decade of experience as a Teacher and Instructional Designer in technology, gaming and esports. In his career, he has launched 11 middle school esports programs and acts as general manager for 7 varsity esports teams, so we understand this decision.

The intended courses will be delivered in an online format with opportunities for in-person engagement and league play at partner gaming venues across the country, they are also planning to organize invitational events which culminate at Ghost Gaming’s headquarters and esports campus in Atlanta, Georgia. That is not all the students may be able to interact with competitors in the Georgia Esports League (which they acquired earlier this year) and Ghost Gaming’s roster of players and coaching staff.

Actually, CEO of Ghost Gaming Todd Harris also pronounced himself about the project:

“Structured esports can transform youth screen time into personal development and skill development. PK is a top practitioner of scholastic esports and our program combines his classroom and youth esports coaching experience with content and lessons from game industry professionals including professional competitors, coaches, gaming content creators, and even game designers. Our Ghost Gaming Academy mission is to deliver positive and inclusive gaming experiences that empower youth to shape their future.”

Hopefully, everything goes as planned so more and more young players can be a step closer to their dream careers.
