Valve bans Dota2 Koma’, Limtless and another eight players for account sharing

This could disqualify their teams

Today after a long silence and many rumours it was confirmed that over ten Dota2 players have been permanently banned by both Valve and PGL after a sad case of account sharing and impersonating members of other teams during tournament games. These players come from different Dota2 teams and are prominent players in the scene making the news even more shocking.

In case you missed it: It's no joke: official Super Smash Bros. Ultimate tournament will give a cup as a prize

The news was dropped today morning via PGL Esports’ official Twitter account

The perma-banned players are the following:

  • Paradise’ (felt)
  • Keintseru -
  • SuperNova -
  • Illusion (Ancient Tribe)
  • Lilskrip (Thiuth Gaming)
  • Koma` (Virtus.pro)
  • Chambl (Luna Gaming)
  • Limtless -
  • [T]SA (Luna Gaming)
  • deihra (Luna Gaming)

Koma’ seems to be the most controversial one after his ban may affect Virtus.pro, the team who just signed him for the DPC season. While the actions may have taken place way before he was signed, the team could be disqualified from the EEU DPC as they now have an incomplete roaster and the roster lock date has long passed. Hopefully, Valve will allow the team to find a replacement however if not, teammates and managers will have a hard time coming.

As always we suggest that never try to manipulate your way up in esports, chances are you are eventually unmasked.
