Super Mario Bros. The Movie has already premiered and everyone is loving it. For many, one of the highlights of the film is when Bowser sings Peaches, a song he wrote for Peach. The song is so funny and catchy that people are going crazy, so it's exciting for many to know that it could win an Oscar.
According to Variety, Peaches, Bowser's ballad, is eligible for Best Original Song at the next Oscars. This means that if the Academy considers it, it could be nominated and even win this prestigious award.
While it seems unlikely that the Academy will choose "Peaches" as Best Original Song at the next Oscars, a nomination seems like a real possibility. After all, other comedic or lighthearted songs like Blame Canada from South Park: Bigger, Longer & Uncut or Everything is Awesome from The LEGO Movie have received nominations.

"Peaches" is performed by Jack Black, a musician and actor who voices Bowser in Super Mario Bros. The Movie. The song was co-written by Black along with Aaron Horvath, Michael Jelenic, Eric Osmond, and John Spiker.
The success of "Peaches" has been so great that it even has a music video starring Jack Black dressed as Bowser. The video debuted last weekend and has already accumulated over 5 million views.
