One of the biggest dreams of Dragon Ball fans is about to be fulfilled, as this morning it was confirmed the construction of an incredible and ambitious theme park of the franchise. This will be made possible by Qiddiya Investment Company, which is well aware of the popularity the series has worldwide.
The complex will house all kinds of attractions and locations inspired by the world of Akira Toriyama's franchise. Fans will even have the opportunity to stay in a themed hotel and enjoy various activities related to Dragon Ball.
Where will the Dragon Ball theme park be and when will it open?
Through a press release, it was confirmed that the construction of the Dragon Ball amusement park has already begun. This initiative is part of the entertainment megaproject Qiddiya, which seeks to encourage tourism in Saudi Arabia.
Thus, fans of the saga who want to enjoy the park and all its attractions will have to travel to that country, as for now no other location has been confirmed in any other region. For now, there is no estimated opening date.
Since the construction of the project has just started, it is expected to be completed in a couple of years. Qiddiya Investment Company stated that it will gradually share updates on the progress and what the amusement park will offer its visitors. Below you can watch a trailer of the project:
What will the Dragon Ball amusement park offer?
This project is very ambitious, as it will be a huge park with more than 500,000 m². We know that it will feature 7 different zones, representing iconic locations such as Kame House, Capsule Corporation and Beerus's Planet. Visitors will be able to enjoy locations spanning from the early days of the series to Dragon Ball Super.
Qiddiya Investment Company will offer up to 30 themed attractions, such as a large-scale roller coaster that is inside a huge construction in the shape of Shen Long. To top it off, there will be themed restaurants and hotels, so visitors can stay more than one day on site. Below you can see conceptual images of the park.
