Ghostbusters: Spirits Unleashed finally has an official launch date, and developer IllFonic can’t be more excited for you to play it soon! The four-versus-one asymmetrical multiplayer game will be available via Epic Games Store on October 18 and as expected pre-orders are already available now at retailers, on the other hand, digital pre-orders will open tomorrow August 18.
Of course, IllFonic wanted to make this special and digital pre-orders will include advance Access to Slimer, a Custom Particle Thrower and Proton Pack, and special clothing colourways.
Only a couple of months away!
As we were saying, the team at IllFonic is very excited and wants you to enjoy the game, in Charles Brungardt CEO of IllFonic's own words:
“The reaction from fans of Ghostbusters has blown us away. Putting a date on and opening up preorders for Ghostbusters: Spirits Unleashed feels like an out-of-body experience, and we cannot wait for everyone to feel the same sensation on Tuesday, October 18.”
If you are not familiar with the title you should know that this is an asymmetric multiplayer where you form a team with up to three other Ghostbusters to track down ghosts haunting a number of locales.
The game has a good number of stages for you to play like the museum or an abandoned prison, where you need to use your particle throwers, and deploy traps to capture the ghosts before the escape. On the other hand, you can play with friends or alone! As the game permits you to team up with your friends, do random matchmaking, or play with AI bots online or offline in solo mode.
There is a lot in this game that for sure you will enjoy, actually IllFonic is still about to reveal a new stage and many more details of the game at Gamescom 2022 so keep an eye open for it.
Remember, Ghostbusters: Spirits Unleashed will be available on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC via Epic Games Store.
