In the past few days, Valve has fallen victim to a giant leak, resulting from which numerous assets the company has employed in its best-known titles have been shared online. Initially, it was reported that the leak extended to Team Fortress 2 alone.

Valve is in trouble

However, insiders leaked data from other Valve games, including Portal, Counter-Strike: Source, and others. Users accessed over 61 GB of unused Team Fortress 2 maps, models, textures, and animations. Richter Overtime shared an image on Twitter that makes it clear how big the leak is for Team Fortress 2 alone.

The TF2 leak was followed by the release of files from Valve's repositories, an archive of all its development resources that Gabe Newell's company grants to people with a Source Engine license.

As you can see via the tweets below, the repository files include builds of Half-Life 2: Multiplayer, Counter-Strike: Source, Portal, and even Half-Life 2 and its subsequent episodes. Users are starting to dig through these files to find unused content, just as happened with Team Fortress 2- Everyone is, in short, looking for new discoveries on Valve-branded products, and there will likely be more news in this regard in the coming days.
