For all fans of the Life is Strange franchise, we have excellent news for you; since after its last release, Life is Strange: True Colors, which turned out to be a success, the official account of those responsible for the game have announced via Twitter that they will launch a prequel novel of the series.

This would be the first book linked to the series and will be a prequel to the last game. The release is scheduled for March 21, 2023.

The novel, subtitled Steph's Story, will follow main character Steph Gingrich and her bandmate Izzie as they go on tour; the same tour eventually brings them to Haven Springs, where the True Colors game is set.

If you are familiar with the franchise, you will know that it is not the first time that they have made a prequel to a game since we previously received Life is Strange: Before the Storm, the prequel to the original title of Life is Strange where Rachel Amber and Chloe Price are protagonists of this game. However, it is the first time that a prequel to the franchise will be made into a book.

Although, in case you didn't know, Life is Strange comics have existed since it’s conception in 2015. These comics pick up where the original game left off.

Returning to Life is Strange: Steph's Story will be published by Titan Books and written by young author Rosiee Thor, a storyteller and author of several books, including Fire Becomes Her and The Meaning of Pride.

Recall that Steph made her debut in the original game and the prequel, Before the Storm, in 2017 before returning as a more prominent character in True Colors in 2021.

Finally, in the Twitter announcement, those responsible suggest that fans should wait for the novel's synopsis, in addition to information about advance orders.
